This is a cash only practice; an invoice will be sent and clients hold the responsibility to make payment after each session via EFT.

How it Works
What is a Registered Counsellor?
A Registered Counsellor is a primary mental health service provider registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). This registration indicates that the counsellor has completed extensive, accredited training and is qualified to provide professional counselling services.
The scope of practice of a Registered Counsellor focuses on the promotion of mental wellbeing and emotional health. In private practice, a Registered Counsellor offers a supportive space to listen, help identify the underlying causes of difficulties, and provide short- to medium-term counselling aimed at reducing distress and improving coping and functioning.
If a client’s needs fall outside this scope or require longer-term or specialised therapy, the Registered Counsellor will refer the client to the appropriate healthcare professional to ensure they receive the most suitable level of care.
A signed consent form is required before counselling can proceed. You will be sent the consent form prior to the first session.
How the Counselling Process Works
The frequency and number of counselling sessions differ on a case-by-case basis and are guided by your individual needs and goals. The first session is treated as an intake session. I will ask a series of questions to gain a better understanding of your background and current context.
Together, we will discuss your goals and expectations for counselling and explore how I can best support you (or you and your partner, in the case of couples’ sessions).
When counselling comes to an end, the final session is treated as a termination session. This provides space to reflect on the counselling journey, review progress made, and support a thoughtful and contained ending.
All sessions are confidential.
